“Each New Piece of Knowledge, Each New Experience Makes Us Stronger and More Confident.” – Leyla Nakhchivani

In today’s world, learning doesn’t end with school. In my opinion, a person’s development is not only measured by technology and income. True development means growing both morally and intellectually, and being able to see the world from a broader perspective.

Childhood is the most important stage in a person’s life. During that time, we not only form our character but also decide who we want to become in the future. What we do today shapes our tomorrow. Unfortunately, many young people still hesitate to speak their minds openly and are afraid to showcase their talents. I believe awareness-raising activities — such as various trainings, leadership programs, debate classes, and social projects — teach us, the youth, to believe in ourselves and improve our skills.

I am an active member of the European Youth Parliament (EYP), and it has had a great impact on my life. One of the most important things at EYP is the ability to work in a team. We collaborate with peers who have different opinions and learn to make decisions together. It also helps us develop analytical thinking, logical and strategic planning, and leadership skills. These abilities help me a lot in school and in daily life. I make decisions more quickly and can remain calm in difficult situations. The experience and new perspectives I’ve gained here motivate me, and I believe I will achieve greater success in the future.

Women and children are very valuable to society, and their development is important to all of us. Their growth is not only the success of one person — it is the success of the entire nation. The more a woman learns, the more beneficial she becomes for both her family and society. I have participated in events organized by the “Innovative Progress and Ecology” Public Union for Social and Economic Development Support, such as “Innovative Thinking: Steps Toward Development” and “The Path to Success: The Influence of a Successful Mother on Her Child.” I listened to the inspiring success stories of women entrepreneurs, and their dedication truly moved me.

As a student, I encourage all of my peers, especially students at Baku Secondary School No. 23, to take part in such projects and benefit from awareness-raising initiatives. Because each of us can light the way for others with our own light. Awareness programs are not just one-day seminars — they are our gateway to the future. Every piece of knowledge, every new experience makes us stronger and more confident.

As young people and students, we are grateful to our state, especially to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, for their support of youth development.
